How to remove Netscape’s ‘default’ user
Question: My machine shows two Netscape users: “user” and “default”. How do I get rid of the “default” user? –Homer
Answer: Go to the Windows 95 Start menu and select Programs. Next choose the Netscape Communicator menu and then a submenu called Utilities. In there, you’ll find a program called User Profile Manager.
You can use that to remove the profile you don’t want. If only one profile is available in that list, then Netscape Navigator will use it whenever the program starts up.
